In this recipe, we’ll show you how to make perfectly cooked buffalo wings with a mouth-watering sauce that will have everyone reaching for seconds.
Buffalo Wings
Ingredients:
– 2 lbs chicken wings, split at the joints with tips removed
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1 tsp onion powder
– 1 tsp paprika
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp black pepper
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter
– 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
– 1 tbsp honey
– Celery sticks and blue cheese dressing, for serving
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
3. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
4. Dredge the wings in the flour mixture, making sure to coat them evenly.
5. Place the wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, making sure they are not touching each other.
6. Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
7. While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
8. Once the butter is melted, stir in the hot sauce and honey. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is smooth and heated through.
9. Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
10. Serve the buffalo wings hot with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping. Enjoy!
Buffalo wings are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven when they are at their crispiest. However, you can also make them ahead of time and reheat them in the oven to maintain their crunchiness. Feel free to adjust the amount of hot sauce in the sauce based on your desired level of spiciness. These wings are sure to be a hit at any gathering, so be prepared to make them again and again!
