Ingredients:
– 1 pound ground beef
– 1 pound Italian sausage
– 1 onion, chopped
– 4 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
– 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
– 1/2 cup red wine
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1 teaspoon dried basil
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
– 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
– 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Remove any excess fat.
2. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Stir in the chopped parsley.
4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, spoon a thin layer of meat sauce to coat the bottom.
5. Place a layer of cooked lasagna noodles on top of the meat sauce, overlapping slightly. Spoon a layer of meat sauce over the noodles, followed by a sprinkle of Parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
6. Repeat the layering process – noodles, meat sauce, cheeses – until you have used up all your ingredients, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
7. Cover the lasagna with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
8. Let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing into pieces. This allows the layers to set and makes it easier to serve.

Lasagna Bolognese is a show-stopping dish that is sure to impress your family and guests. The layers of flavor from the rich meat sauce, creamy bechamel, and gooey cheese come together beautifully with each bite. Serve this lasagna with a fresh green salad and a glass of red wine for a complete and satisfying meal.
