**Poodle Cake**

**Ingredients:**
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
– 1 cup milk
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 3 eggs
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 1 tablespoon baking powder
– ½ teaspoon salt
– Black gel food coloring
– Pink gel food coloring
– White frosting of your choice
– Black decorating gel

**Instructions:**

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a round cake pan. Set aside.

2. In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3. Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until smooth and well incorporated.

5. Divide the batter into two separate bowls. Add a few drops of pink gel food coloring to one bowl and mix until you achieve your desired shade of pink. Add a few drops of black gel food coloring to the other bowl and mix until you reach a light gray color.

6. Pour the pink batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.

7. Once cooled, remove the pink cake from the pan and level the top if necessary. Using a round cookie cutter or a small bowl, cut out two ears from the pink cake. Place them on top of the cake to form the poodle’s ears.

8. Cut a small piece out of the other end of the pink cake to create a poodle’s nose. Place this cut piece on the top of the cake as the poodle’s nose.

9. Frost the entire cake with white frosting, creating a smooth surface. You can use store-bought frosting or make your own buttercream frosting for this step.

10. Using the black decorating gel, pipe two eyes, a mouth, and the outline of the poodle’s paws on the cake. Be creative with the poodle’s facial expression and make it as cute as you like.

11. Your adorable Poodle Cake is now ready to be enjoyed! Serve this delightful treat at your next gathering and watch as your guests’ faces light up with joy.
