Reindeer Toffee

Ingredients:
– 1 cup unsalted butter
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup milk chocolate chips
– 1 cup pretzel pieces
– Miniature pretzels, for decoration
– Red and brown M&M’s or chocolate candies, for decoration
– Candy eyes or mini chocolate chips, for decoration

Instructions:
1. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and set it aside.
2. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the sugar and salt, stirring constantly until the mixture is well combined.
3. Continue to cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it reaches a temperature of 300°F on a candy thermometer. This will take about 10-15 minutes.
4. Once the toffee reaches the desired temperature, remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
5. Carefully pour the hot toffee onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it out into an even layer with a spatula.
6. Sprinkle the milk chocolate chips evenly over the hot toffee. Let them sit for a minute or two to soften, then use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate over the toffee.
7. Sprinkle the pretzel pieces over the chocolate layer, gently pressing them into the chocolate.
8. While the chocolate is still soft, decorate the toffee to resemble reindeers: place two miniature pretzels at the top of each piece for antlers, use two red candies for the nose, and two candy eyes or mini chocolate chips for the eyes.
9. Allow the toffee to cool and the chocolate to set completely before breaking it into pieces.
10. Serve your Reindeer Toffee on a festive platter or package them in pretty bags as gifts for friends and family.
